Preventive calendar for women
As the old saying goes – prevention is better than cure! Take advantage of the preventive calendar prepared by the Rakiety Foundation and get tested!
20-30 years
Once a month:
– Breast self-examination, between the 6th and 9th day of the cycle
Once every six months:
– Dental checkup
Once a year:
– Basic blood tests: complete blood count, ESR, blood glucose concentration and general urine test
– Blood pressure measurement, weight control and general examination by an internist
– Gynecological examination and cytology (it is worth considering transvaginal ultrasound every two years)
ATTENTION! In the case of a family history of cancer – from the age of twenty, breast ultrasound every six months and mammography every year. Once a year, ask your doctor to palpate your breasts.
Once every 3 years:
-ECG, i.e. electrocardiogram
Once every 3-5 years:
– Abdominal ultrasound
Once every 5 years:
– Chest X-ray (yearly smokers)
– Gastroscopy
Once every 10 years:
-densitometry test (bone density)

50+ years
Once a month:

– Transvaginal ultrasound of the reproductive organs
– Testing the level of thyroid hormones
– Basic blood tests: complete blood count, ESR, blood glucose concentration and general urine test
– Blood pressure measurement, weight control and general examination by an internist
– As part of the prevention of colorectal cancer, it is also worth performing a test for the presence of occult blood in the stool once a year
– Lipidogram, i.e. measurement of cholesterol concentration in the blood and its HDL and LDL fractions, as well as triglycerides
– Abdominal ultrasound
-ECG, i.e. electrocardiogram
– Vision check by an ophthalmologist and examination of the fundus and intraocular pressure
Once every 2 years:
– Breast ultrasound and mammography
Once every 5 years:
– Chest X-ray (yearly smokers)
– Kneeoscopy
Once every 10 years:
-densitometry test (bone density)
